good-bye!

i've thought and prayed long and hard about it and today for some reason (i know not by mere coincidence), i emailed all the accounts i had been working with and canceled them. my business ventures had been fun this far but i had been putting my focus where it shouldn't have been. i had been consumed with trying to get accounts and spending my free time fulfilling orders and in the long run, it has not worth my time and energy. the extra money was fun, the exposure great but in the end, my time with God, my family and this pregnancy is what matters most in my life right now. so toodles to nanny deprived, mama monkey, tres chic baby and dashin fashion...thanks for the opportunity. i'll just stick to etsy for now! and here's to more time with God and my family! :)

"¡Lo hicimos!"

...she did it, she did it, she did it, yah, "¡Lo hicimos!"...
(haha, if any of you watch dora...it's like the song she sings)
i am so proud of taylor. she listened to the teacher today. she did everything the was supposed to. she didn't cry once for me while i had to wait outside till class was done. the teacher even gave her plenty of hugs today. and taylor got 2 stamps today. 1 on each hand as opposed to only 1. yay! i'm so proud of her. her reward was getting to sip some thai tea boba! :) and she also went potty on her elmo potty today at dance class. this is day 2 of pull-ups!

NEW POTTY

i didn't wanna have to get it but i did. i got taylor a new potty. she already has 2 of the ones that sit on top of the toilet seat. ya, we've had success with those and i'm pretty sure we'll still have success using them. but i wanted to get the ball really rolling on getting her potty trained. so, i got her one of those gross potty's that sit low to the ground that you have to dump out into the toilet after every use. ew! i vowed not to get one. but guess what? it's working. we officially started today. she pooped and has peed in it several times today. she's wearing pull-ups once again! yay!!! and she's getting stickers on her sticker chart once again! yay!!! she's happy using it and she's motivated. i'm praying she sticks with it. i am even considering getting one for the car. many moms i know keep one in their trunk and when at the park or out shopping they have the handy dandy potty for their child to use in their trunks. and why not? it's perfect for the trunk, the kids can use it comfortably and all you have to do is dump it out (which is the part i hate)! i'll still carry my portable on top of the seat potty in the diaper bag as well! woo-hoo for potty training 2 year olds!
the new potty and handy little flushable wipees!

flutter, flutter

almost forgot...early saturday morning, i was laying on my back and put my hand low on my belly to touch baby. and i felt baby's 1st flutter! itwas soo exciting. i keep trying to feel for more flutters, but nothing since then.

week 15

woo-hooo...i passed my 1st trimester. hehe. here's what babycenter.com has to say about me at

How your baby's growing:

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")

fathers's day

saturday papa, taylor, (baby) and i headed over to 3rd street promenade to check out the farmer's market, do some shopping and have lunch. ended up just eating at cpk, where my friend anne joined us. after we headed home so taylor could nap. as soon as she woke up we went to lola and lolo's house so she could do some swimming. then right after we took papa out for a father's day dinner to yummy p.f. chang's where kt, tony and luke joined us!

taylor loved the dinosaurs!
here she is in her swimming pool getting darker. like her slide?!
at p.f. changs.
taylor is so silly and gross...she always takes her shoes off...and this time she decided to twirl the chopsticks with her toes. we couldn't stop laughing! who does that?!

crafting and sewing days

so i haven't been sewing much lately for etsy. i'm actually going to take a long break as soon as this month is over. i might even close up shop. i haven't been motivated to sew for people i don't know but i don't mind making things for family and friends. my sewing machine isn't that neglected... i have been making clutches again (which i haven't made since last year) for myself and birthday presents! :)

i finally made me a new clutch which was looong overdue. the one with the bird is mine and i tossed my old one in the trash. the others were birthday presents!
meanwhile...taylor's been up to some crafting...painting to be exact!

taylor's attempt at swim class

so this afternoon i woke taylor up early from nap to take her to her very 1st swim class. but, obviously...with the blog title...it wasn't a success! she enjoyed the first 15-20 minutes in the water splashing, playing, kicking her feet and putting her face in the water like the teacher said to do, but that was about it. she lost interest. she didn't wanna go on the noodle with the teacher alone or swim on her back with the teacher guiding her. it's okay. she's not ready. she sat the rest of the class time. it's just not her time. it's not like with dance...she's the one who kept saying she wanted to take dance class. plus, the swim class ended up being a longer class and costing more and no one told me. so, maybe we'll just try again next time when she's ready. i did capture pics and video of her in the class with her friends jeremy and jd.

tiny dancer

today was taylor's 1st day at dance class. she is taking a baby tap class! i was super excited!!! yesterday we went out and got her a leotard, tights, ballet slippers and i couldn't resist, i had to get her the cute little skirt to wear over it all! what was more exciting is that she's the one who kept saying she wanted to take dance class. i think it's from watching all those reality dancing shows on tv that we watch like "so you think you can dance," and "america's best dance crew." so i was under the impression that we were going to observe the baby tap class to see if we wanted to take it then take the baby boogie class-which is the intro. ballet/dance class. we get, the teacher gives her loaner tap shoes and she's participating in the class and not observing. so i think that confused taylor. cause i had prepped her all the way to dance class that she had to sit and watch the tap class...and so i think she was confused as to why she had to participate. but she was new and learning and loving the sound of tap shoes on her feet hitting the floor. she picked up the things fast that the teacher-ms. sheri was teaching them like how to shuffle and chasse (sha-say). there were times though that she didn't want to get in line and follow what they were doing. but it's okay. it was her first day and she has yet to learn their daily routines in that class. i'm so excited and happy and proud of her! so i turns out that baby boogie starts next month. ms. sheri said she can try out the tap class for a month and see if she wants to continue. i love it! and tomorrow she starts swim! this is fun! although it makes me feel old cause...i never thought i'd actually live this day out where i'm actually taking my very own 2 year old to dance class.

updates

i checked my bp on saturday. i'm back to normal. maybe that day at the dr. i ate a lot of salt or was stressed or something. thanks for the prayers!

i am at week 13 today. the first trimester is over next week at week 14. can't wait. although i still feel nauseous and queasy. i don't think it's gonna end at week 14. ugh! : ( i do hope i can start running again. but i doubt it. the dr. probably won't approve it if i still have a low lying placenta.

poor taylor is constipated again. :(

i'm going on an etsy break in july but not sure when or if i'll come back. i haven't been motivated to sew. and when i do get an order-i dread making it. i wait till the very last minute. maybe when or if we move and i get a sewing room. haha.

still waiting on an offer on our condo to be approved by the bank. waiting game.
