it started off with brunch with the martinez fam then we had our intimate martinez fam dinner our beautiful little girls then headed off at about 10pm to my side of the family to our traditional stay till midnight and then pass out and open presents my dad likes to be the entertainment and put on an actual, really bad puppet show and on christmas morning our little family opened up presents!!! and let me tell ya...the more kids=the MORE mess then christmas day we had lunch and dinner with the polintan side of the fam i like this pic cause u can see reagan actually looking beautiful little girls (insert group pic below-haha-waiting for a pic from kris)
and this year the day after christmas we were able to have christmas with "the guys" although we were missing the castros and the other luna's. thank you manalili's for hosting and big thanks to everyone and all the delicious food we all brought.
i didn't get a group pic or really pics (i don't think anyone else did either) but i did capture some at the end of the girls playing the babies
lola and lolo came over with a cake and reagan was super intrigued by lola's scarf these 2 were super excited for the cake...i mean for reagan's 2month birthday! haha!!!
wednesday, dec. 8th i took reagan to one of her weekly visits to her pedi. turns out she lost an ounce and actually wasn't gaining from the last week. and not to mention she had been vomitting a lot prior. her pedi had me nurse her while we were there...and guess what reagan did? she vomitted. so the pedi didn't like that and wanted to run more tests. at first she wanted her admitted to the hospital just so it'd be easier and faster to get all the tests done. the dr at the hospital felt differently and wanted us to go through ER. so to ER we went and suprisingly it wasn't busy and we were in right away. they ran their few tests then once a room opened up we were sent and reagan was admitted. from there many tests were run. poor reagan. what we thought would only be a 1 night stay turned into a 3 night stay (i stayed 1 night, my mom the next and jino the last night). so they ran many tests and scans..trying to get to the bottom of her vomitting so much and her distended belly. and while we were there i wasn't allowed to breastfeed so they could see if that was causing it-the protein in the cow's milk that is. so she was on formula the whole time there..not just any formula...but one of the most expensive kind-Nutramigen. then at one point they were saying her thyroid levels were too high and so more tests and scans were done. to sum up an already long summary....they came to the conclusion that she was allergic to the proteins in the cow's milk that was passing through my breastmilk...and once we were discharged we were supposed to go see another specialist-and endocrinologist-but it turned out that the doctor who was making his rounds that weekend was a pediatrician who specialized in endocrinology. he said she was fine. it was a roller coasted ride. lots of emotions. drained physically and emotionally but thankful that i had (have) Jesus on my side cause seriously we both wouldn't have been able to get through it without Him. thank you for your prayers!
at the hospital still there we thought we were gonna have to go to another hospital drank formula the whole time and from a bottle and praise God she was gettin the hang of it finally day 4 and we get to go home.
Today we took Reagan to meet with more specialists. In the morning she went to see the Pediatric Neurologist and then in the afternoon we were off to CHLA so she could take another hearing test. We left the Neurologist's office feeling pretty good.
So the good news is that she CAN hear...in her left ear. That was all they got to test. The audiologist was at the mercy of Reagan. It took a while to get the test done on the left side cause she'd either wake up or the tubes would come out of her ear or un-stick from the sides of her head. So we still have to go back to test her right ear.
As for the neurologist...we left with a more positive outlook so we are truly thankful and happy!
went to jino's company work party @mario's right across from the infamous mission inn saturday we celebrated lola(lola)'s 88th birthday. had lunch with the entire family @uncle tim's then went back to the db house for coffee and dessert. lolalola and her great grandchildren and did i mention she's also very stylish at 88?! sunday went to church then after papa put up the christmas lights outside. oh and did i forget to mention we painted the exterior of our house? hehe. well, we did. and we forgot to take a before and after pic of course-boo me. before: after: then papa went and got us a tree and we decorated!!!
this year (as with every year) we have a LOT to be thankful for.
but this year in particular we are thankful for the birth of dear little reagan grace-gracie or rearea-pronounced rayray (as i like to call her). she's our brave little fighter. God brought her into this life, into our life. she has a long journey ahead of her and we are thankful to have Jesus in our lives to get us through each step. and we are thankful for how He's continually bringing us closer to Him. and we are thankful for all our family and friends that have and continue to support us!

our family of 5 the martinez ladies me and my little girls...and poor reagan was crying
happy 2nd birthday peyton! she's grown up soooo fast...not nearly as fast as taylor. we praise God for 2years of life thus far. she talks a whole lot now and has a crazy personality. she's carefree and wild. she's fearless and tries everything and anything. she doesn't stop eating the minute she wakes up. and she loves her some veggies and fruit. she's turning into a daddy's little girl. she's a great helper but yet also can have that terrible two's attitude. she's our little monkey, our curious george, our dora the explorer. all she needs is her thumb and her lion!!!
she woke up super early in the 5 am hour and found her present and began sliding.. and this is what happens when you have way to much fun so early in the morning... you get an asthma attack catered by CPK and some traditional pancit from grandma and my infamous baked mac & cheese daddy's girl about to pray for the food family having fun with their cousin ah yes, the most AWESOME red velvet cake from cpk... isn't it the best kid's cake ever??? and blow our beautiful, silly peyton she's our crazy tom boy and clown me and my girls her favorite present-thanks bears! papa and mama were already in their comfy clothes
