blanket

so i made my 1st blanket for taylor....was nothing big, very simple and easy blanket. no piping, no binding, no minky, no fancy stitching. just a yard of cotton dora fabric, another yard of pink flannel and light batting to go inside. but i'm proud of it! the best part is that taylor really loves it cause it's dora and like she says "mama sew it."

house hunting updates

so for 983 astonville...we aren't going through with it. the tax rate is too high! :( boo to mellarouse (is that how you spell it) and then there's an hoa even though it's a single family home.

so on to other house hunting adventures with our realtor! we are still looking in corona but SOUTH corona. so much farther! so much to think about. there's sooo much to buying another house. we know if we do buy again we want it to be just right cause this will be the place we most likely settle down at for a loooong time!!!

CONGRATS!!!

for those who don't know...CONGRATS to katie and tony!!!! they are going to be parents! due in May! she's at the start of her 2nd trimester...they waited forever (till the 1st trimester was over) to tell anyone...but i knew she was!!!! hehe! yay, i finally get to be an auntie!!!

Fat Lip

Yesterday we were at the park with MOMS Club. I was talking away with the other moms while Taylor was busy playing. She was about 25 feet away past the swings. She decided she was going to come back to me, towards the swings while someone was swinging on it. As I told her not to go that way, she walks faster and does a little run. So I got up cause I was worried. As she passed behind the swing, the mom who was pushing her daughter on the swing tried to grab Taylor to push her out of the way. BUT it was tooooo late. The swing came back and knocked her down hard to the sandy ground!!!!! SOOOO SAD! So I ran over to find her crying real hard and to see her mouth full of blood. I picked her up and tried to comfort her. We gave her water...but she was understanding how to spit. She had a mouth full of blood and sand! Now she has a super fat lip! But she was tough and after some time went back to playing. And to make things worse...lastnight the 3 of us were coming back from Border's...Jino carried her in to the house and put her down to close the door....and she somehow falls again...on her face, on her lip that was already fat. So it was bleeding AGAIN! and FAT AGAIN! I took her to the sink and gave her water and this time she knew how to spit out the water! Poor Taylor. It was not a good day for her! I'll try to take a pic and post it later!

a blog from my hubby...

i just copied and pasted this from jino's blog...thought it was cute...

"No it's hot"
Every morning Selle prepares breakfast for Taylor to eat. She usually asks Taylor:

"Do you want blank to it?" Where blank could be, eggs, bagels, toast, french toast, oatmeal, etc., and Taylor usually responds with a YES or NO answer.

Well yesterday was a little different. Selle asked Taylor:

"Do you want some oatmeal?", and Taylor responds with:

"No, it's hot"

I looked at Selle and she looked at me, and we just started laughing. This was the first time that we could recall Taylor actually reasoning things out verbally. I cherish those kinds of moments. I love seeing the growth and maturation process of her. I wonder in amazement, how she learns things. It's such an awesome thing to be a parent.

"No, it's hot"......I love it.

sooo

so we are waiting on answers for 983 astonville...i love it...great, new, single family home for a great price...but we found a glitch. the builders/loan people said the tax rate was like 1.25% or something like that...but we talked to the guy who would maybe be our next door neighbor and he was saying the builders/loan company lied...cause when h and all the others in the neighborhood got their taxes a few weeks ago...it was in fact 2%!!!! now that is crazy. so the agent is supposed to get back to us today about what the tax rate really is. cause 2% is nuts!!! i'm glad the neighbor told us...he could've easily screwed us over like he and all the other people were screwed. maybe it's God closing this door?! we'll see. gotta weight the pro's and con's...as much as i like it and as close as we are...if God's speaking to us then...we can't ignore it.

983 Astonvilla

this could be our new home. waiting. praying. waiting.

here's a better pic...but we aren't so sure we really want this one. we are in the process of purchasing it. but still not sure. the loan is in the process. hmmm...lots to pray about but not enough praying done! so we aren't sure. meanwhile we are looking at our other options.

new dress

we were at anthropologie a couple weeks ago and saw these cute aprons they had that looked like dresses. i wanted them for myself and wanted to just sew up the back to make it a dress but i didn't wanna pay for it. hehe. i thought i'd make one instead. but instead of making it for me i made taylor one. it's one of the 1st dresses i've made her that is not a pillowcase style dress i usually make her. instead of leavign the back open like the inspiration aprons i closed it up to make it a dress. it took lots of trial and error and ripping up seams here and there but i am satisfied with it. i can't wait to make her more like this!!!

new bestfriend...

this past few weeks taylor has been loving her "baby." she had this little baby doll that she stripped off its clothes and lugs it around everywhere. she would try to feed her milk from her very own sippy cup, give her any food she eats, puts her to sleep and carries her everywhere. but she would get frustrated cause the baby can't really drink the milk. so yesterday, lola and lolo picked up taylor to take her on her very 1st trip (since she was a baby) to toy's r us!!!!! she was gone a loooooooong time with lola and lolo. this is what she came out with...

meet the new "baby" or sometimes she says it's name is "taylor"
this was the old baby

happy b-day to me (and katie)

so thursday was our 29th birthday!!! yay! it happened to fall on "date night" for us so jino and i had a babysitter. i had been sick all week (and still am) but i still wanted to go out for my birthday! i love celebrating my birthday! that morning taylor was awake before papa left for work and she wanted to get my present for me that papa was hiding in the closet! so cute! she even sang happy birthday to me. we called auntie katie in the morning too and she sang happy birthday to her too. so when papa came home from work we dropped off taylor and we went to downtown claremont and ate at tuttu mangia. sooo yummy! i love going to downtown claremont and i love all restaurants there because they aren't franchised. then we walked around and got coffee bean, and drove by the streets to admire all the beautiful houses. that was our night. on saturday we went out with all our friends and had yummy dinner and dessert at bj's! yum!!!

a few of my favorite things i got...
new jeans (thanks papa and taylor), yema's (thanks lola) and a sewing book (thanks krissa)...and can't forget the money from the parents and giftcards from friends and my brother and the victoria secrets lotion...

Taylor meet Sabrina

Today we went to visit new momma Geneyem and baby Sabrina. This was Taylor's 1st time meeting her since she wasn't allowed to go upstairs when we visited them at the hospital. She loved her. She loved that she was so little. She loved her little stinkies (feet). But I think she loved playing with all of Sabrina's things around the apartment more! :)

Another Milestone

So after 19+ months...I finally got her off "nene's" (aka: breastfeeding-but only at night to sleep). Oh she fussed and fussed lastnight. She cried, whined, drank her milky in a sippy cup and her applejuicey and tossed and turned and rambled and talked and talked and said every word she knew and sang every song she knew, trying to get out all her excess energy so she could sleep. FINALLY, she fell asleep! Praise God! No more breastfeeding! I was SOOOO over it! That's it. I told her last month that once November came there was no more nene's. YES!!!! Praise God I was able to breastfeed for sooo long but I was done with it!

halloween, halloween, trick-or-treat

haha...that's from a Dora episode! so Dora, I mean Taylor made her entrance as "Dora" again at our church harvest festival. she was actually scared when we got there and kept clinging to me. you'd think after 2 other halloween parties and seeing kids in costumes she'd be used to it. i think it was different cause there were older people dressed up and some were scary things or had dark make-up on. poor taylor.

so we played games with her even though she really didn't wanna play.

and i even rode down the slide with her. that was some scary slid eno one was monitoring it and i swore it was gonna deflate cause there were way too many kids on at a time.

we left early since taylor was not in a good mood
