new dress

we were at anthropologie a couple weeks ago and saw these cute aprons they had that looked like dresses. i wanted them for myself and wanted to just sew up the back to make it a dress but i didn't wanna pay for it. hehe. i thought i'd make one instead. but instead of making it for me i made taylor one. it's one of the 1st dresses i've made her that is not a pillowcase style dress i usually make her. instead of leavign the back open like the inspiration aprons i closed it up to make it a dress. it took lots of trial and error and ripping up seams here and there but i am satisfied with it. i can't wait to make her more like this!!!

a SweetNovember design...

a few of the inspirations from anthropologie...

hi selle. I like to see what everyone in the u.s. is up to, so i
link to blogs through Ruby from time to time. How are you? See you
have taken up sewing!! that dress looks similar to the dress from
Ruby's Apron Series.

Your little model is the cutest Selle! I was at third street promenade today and saw those at The Anthropolgie there. Wasn't sure how to wear them though. Dress or apron? ..but uber cute on Taylor! :)
