lastnight we went to a family gathering for one last dinner before those visiting from the PI left. and for taylor that meant she got to play with her cousins!!! she had a blast!

so we've been thinking, contemplating and doing many baby name searches online. we've narrowed it down to a few we really like. but who knows, it could change considering we still have 4 months left! :) i think i'm really liking the last one a lot. we still have yet to decide on a middle name. although we do have a few in mind.

1st time flying

today was taylor's 1st time flying a kite.

papa bought her a Dora kite.
after dinner today we took her to the park.
papa got the kite up real high.
taylor got to fly it.
she even made a friend, ashton, and let him have a turn.
it was the only kite up there.

cousin playdate

have i told you how much taylor loves to play with other kids. well, since school ended taylor only gets to play with kids at dance class (but they don't really get to play there), church or when we go to the park. hehe. so today our cousin came over with her 2 1/2 year old boy along with katie and luke. she had so much fun! we haven't seen hayden in such a long time and he has grown soo much. mind you, he's only 2 but he's sooo much bigger than taylor; but that's cause he's mixed-filipino and white. hehe. he's supposedly going to grow up to be at least 6 feet tall and i bet luke will too!

we had fun tonight at our friend's scottie and michelle's engagement party! congrats you too! can't wait for all the other wedding festivities and for the wedding in november (where i'll be super huge by then)!!! it was fun getting semi dressed up and being silly taking a ton of pics!

2 months

happy 2 month birthday baby cousin luke!
he's so tall and big. he's going to outgrow taylor. he's already 11.4 pounds and he's 23 inches.

birthday fun!

sunday we celebrated our friend steve's birthday. those of us with kiddies brought them so they could swim in the pool. taylor had a blast! she got sooo dark but had soo much fun in the floatie her uncle russ bought her.

it was also lola gigi's birthday dinner too that night too and taylor was busy having fun with her "cousin" issac.

vintage find

so a couple weeks ago we found this great piece of artwork at the thrift store. it's by a european artist (can't recall the name at the moment). purchase price $3.50, actual price still in europe $350. what a great find and it matches our room just perfectly!

beach days

oh how i love the beach! friday we took a trip to the beach with some of my dear friends! it was a perfect day at the beach too despite it taking us 1.5 hours to get there! the beach was packed, the sun was out and we were all having fun!

18.5 weeks preggy!

no more diapers!

so i think we can officially say Taylor is potty trained! it only took 1 consistent week. don't get me wrong...we started trying to potty train her at 18 months. she was really good at one point using the potty-on-top of the toilet, then it would keep fizzling out here and there. so i had to really commit to doing it this time around. we started rotating pull-ups and regular diapers . then, it went to pull-ups all day, regular diapers for nap and bed for few days. then, it went to wearing panties while at home, pull-ups going out, and regular diapers to nap and bed. then, it went to just pull-ups at night and no regular diapers. then, i decided to go one day all in panties, even to nap, with a pull-up at night. now, it's panties all day and all night! she's really good at remembering to go pee and poop in the potty. i love when she just sits on her potty and doesn't even announce that she has to go. in the beginning it took getting used to cause she would have the occaisional accidents. but i think she's really got the hang of it. we can even be out at the stores and she won't go pee in her panties. she'll wait to use the public restroom or the potty in he car. we are sooo proud of her!!! she's growing up! it wasn't as hard as i thought it was going to be. you just have to stick with it like everyone says....when you start, don't turn back. praise God!

anyone with a girl want my extra pampers easy on pull-ups (about 50) and a good dozen size 3 regular diapers? let me know. they are just sitting in a bag!

BIG GIRL

so we finally took taylor's crib down. her crib had actually been recalled so we had to take apart the hardware to send back so we could get a voucher to buy a new one. not that we need one (yet). haha. she never slept in her crib to begin with. we ordered her a toddler bed at babies r us and are watiting for it to arrive. her crib mattress has been sitting on the floor of her room. so today i asked her if she wanted to take her nap on it. she layed down and i layed down next to her, singing her a song and rubbing her back (ya, she's spoiled). and tada, she fell asleep! so i'm going to try having her take her naps on her bed, in her room from now on so that when her bed comes in she'll be used to sleeping there. and so eventually jino and i can have our bed back!!! haha!

PRAISE! PRAISE! PRAISE!

we got the results from our AFP screening test for this new baby and they came back NORMAL!!!! thanks for the prayers! this is truly an answered prayer! thanks again! :)

girls' night out

i love these ladies. they are a blessing in my life and i truly thank God for them. tonight's study was spent celebrating a birthday (a tradition we do for each celebrant)...happy birthday christina (and stephanie-who wasn't there). we tried to discuss the book we were reading but carried away in hanging out! oh well! was a fun night at macaroni grill.

weekend fun!

happy 4th!

we were excited for 4th of july this year cause we were looking forward to taking taylor to watch fireworks and really enjoying them. friday was a long day as we helped joe and krissa move out into their fabulous new apartment (okay, taylor and i just watched and ate free food-haha). we spent practically the whole day there except when we went home to let taylor nap and to shower. came back for dinner there with the whole fam then by 830 taylor kept nagging us to go see the fireworks. so, it ended up only being jino, taylor, joe and i who took the 15 min. walk to the claremont colleges to see the fireworks show that was at 9. we get there. it's dark. the fireworks are going off. taylor's crying. then taylor's asleep. and the 3 of us are left to watch the 15 min. show without her. hah! then we had to walk back 15 min to their apt. and taylor was awake for that! she's such a fraidy cat!

the next day...i can't even remember what we did in the morning. but we went to our good friends russ and maria's house for their ufc/bbq party as usual. i love going there to hang out! soo much fun!

piggy tails

i have not been able to put taylor in pigtails in soooooooooooooooooooooo long (dec. of last year to be exact). i can barely even put a hair clip in her hair so that her bangs are out of her face. i'm lucky enough to get a ponytail. the only for sure time she'll wear a ponytail or bun is for dance class-cause it's a must! but today i got her in piggy tails! i was soo excited! she looks like a toddler...and her hair is super long!

this is sooo taylor!she loves and adores luke. i swear sometimes she thinks she's his mom!

updates

so let's see...i'm 17.5 weeks already. i feel the baby move here and there! so awesome! it's been tiring and stressful thus far. as some of you know we saw our perinatologist last week and he told us he found cysts on the baby's brain. he also made us worry like crazy and said it wasn't normal and wasn't common. he also tried to get us to have an amnio done but we didn't. but we did the afp screeening but haven't had the results yet. did lots of worrying, crying and praying. but it's all in God's hands. turns out we did some research and got some advice from others who've been in that same situation and we are more comforted. turns out that the cysts ARE common and they usually go away by the time the baby is born. so thanks to that perinatologist....we aren't going back to him. i'm just glad to know that it IS common. thanks for your prayers.

so as for me...i can't run...my ob suggested i not since i've been so unconditioned now for like 2 months! argh! :( which is true. haha. good news is that my bp has NOT been high. my ladie's biblestudy is going great too-it's growing and i truly love them all! :)

what else...taylor's been sick for the past 3 days. she still LOVES her tap dance class. we were supposed to start our summer school mommy and me class this week but haven't been able to since she got sick and has a high fever. i almost forgot...potty training is in full effect. there's no turning back. pull-ups all day long, sometimes even just a panty. hehe. she not only has 1 new potty that sits on the ground she has 3 more. so there's one in the master bathroom, 1 by the front door-cause she's too lazy to run to the one in the bathroom when she has to go, 1 in the trunk of the car and 1 that's supposed to go to lola's house. not to mention the fold-up travel potty that i carry in my bag at all times and then there's still the very first-over the toilet potty seat i bought her that just collects dust in the bathroom. haha. this girl has sooomany potty's. whatever works. they say, once you start, don't turn back. can't wait for her to be completely out of pull-ups and diapers. the goal is before she turns 3!

hmm....still waiting on our condo to sell. the bank takes forever. more options came about too with jino and job opportunities and also an opportunity my mom brought up. oh boy, oh boy....so much to pray about! :)
