i'm sick

i think i got it from taylor. it's some kind of flu. sucks when you are a stay-at-home mom...cause u can't rest. u have to go to the market. you have to sew for your wholesale order. you have to watch your little toddler. and you have to cook. and you have to check emails. and of course you have to blog about it. haha.

oh to craft

i had a special request from my sister-in-law to make some hair clips. i knew i had no plans for today so i thought why not. and since my fabric hasn't all come in for my wholesale orders i had nothing to sew. i know i had to make the hair clips now or i wouldn't have time once i started on the my wholesale orders. i haven't made any hair clips in a loooooooooong time!!! 1-because they are time consuming, 2-because i've been on a roll with sewing and 3-no inspiration to. and so, i spent the afternoon, while taylor was napping, crafting away. of course i couldn't make just 1 of each that she requested. i thought i'd make some to put on etsy.

i'm a big girl now!

she's not wearing a diaper as i write this. she has on BIG girl dora panties. i hope this works. she hasn't wanted to really use the potty lately or wear pull-ups. but i want her to be potty trained sooo badly! so i'll try the big girl panties for when we are at home and pull-ups when we go out.

i was asking taylor a bunch of questions in the car and so was auntie katie. here's how one of the conversations went...

me: where do you live taylor?
taylor: the tallest mountain
auntie katie: what's the tallest mountain?
taylor: polar bear mountain

and if anyone watches dora with their 2 year old then you know what she's referring to with all her answers. she's such a silly little 2 year old.

morning star!

i just discovered i like, no LOVE morning star veggie burgers! i've never had one before. and i just ate it for lunch! it's absolutely delicioso (in the words of taylor)!!!! it's my new favorite thing to eat for lunch on orowheat sweet hawaiian bread and w/pepperjack cheese! yum! i want another!

i'm a good model!

title taken from anne i know you won't mind! hehe. yesterday we had ourselves a mini photo shoot. i needed pics for nanny deprived and since anne has a handy dandy camera and was on her way to her parents house near me i asked her if her if she'd stop by to help me out with pics. and we had a blast doing them. she got the photos i needed of the skirts and i needed some of someone-that someone ended up being taylor- to model them. i was afraid she wasn't going to help model. but she was pulling on her skirts herself so i took advantage of that and kept telling her, "you're a good model!" and after twirling many skirts, she herself proclaimed herself, "i'm a good model!" we had fun, especially with the silly pics we took! thanks again anne!!!

the task was to take pics of the skirts. this is just one of the 4 that i needed.

after taking the pics came the fun part of modeling. she wanted ALL the skirts on her.

this is her fizz face (according to auntie krissa) but i'm too old and uncool to know what that is. haha! she wanteda skirt on her head as a hat and on her arms as bracelets.

a happy easter!

what an awesome day! an awesome reminder of Jesus who rose from the dead to save us and give us eternal life!!!!

the day was soo beautiful and the weather perfect! we started our day going to church then headed off to the beach with kt, tony and of course baby cousin luke. we had lunch at harbor house. then over to anderson to watch our hubbies surf!

6 months later

from someone who just started sewing last august many great opportunities have come my way. first came etsy and through that sales slowly started coming in. i was able to get great practice with sewing. my sewing got better and better and the sales kept coming and i couldn't even keep up. then, it slowed down a bit. now 6 months later more opportunities came like with nanny deprived and i am currently working with mama monkey (i can't post a link) and dashin fashion so check these sites out soon to find items from Sweet November.

a day at the park

yesterday with mommy and me school we took a fieldtrip to the park to have our easter egghunt and potluck.

Happy Birthday Party Part 2

Saturday was a big day. It was Taylor's birthday party with all the family and friends. We are soo thankful for Jino's parents hosting the party in their house. Thanks again mom and dad! We started the day early helping to set everything up for the party that started at 1.
