you're growing so fast! i'm sorry you are sick on your b-day (along with mama and ate)... but thank God you are still able to smile and laugh and play and crawl and pull up everywhere and clap your hands! we love you!
i absolutely LOVE the beach!!! i tell ya, i was meant to live in hawaii...cause i love the sun, the sand, the heat, wearing summer clothes and flips flops 24/7. and there's nothing better than going to the beach with the family and some of our church family! i love these beach trips that the mason's and the miller's plan. we have a short devo/song then it's surf and play!

i felt like sewing. the girls got new animal print clothes from one of my nursing covers that i upcycled into this:
tank for peyton to wear with shorts or a skirt... skirt for taylor to wear with a tank and leggings (don't mind the crooked stitching on the elastic-hah-i didn't care)... and this dress for taylor. they were supposed to wear the animal print pieces to a animal/jungle/safari themed b-day party that we ended up not going to since we were soooo pooped from spending most of the day at the beach then venturing off to a pump it up b-day party. but oh well...nonetheless the girls got new clothes. and the navy dress with mini polka dots was supposed to be the b-day present if we went but now it's taylor's...i was gonna make her one just like it if we had given it away as a present. ah, i love making new pieces for the girls...i only wish i had more time to do it! i made these all the day before (on friday throughout the day) when i had time...and they were for saturday. hehe.
and this simple pillowcase dress for peyton. i made it this morning in less than 30 min, hand washed and dried so she could wear it to church this morning and match her sister.
i used to always take taylor to story time starting when she was a little baby. i'm guilty of not taking her enough since peyton's been born. and i'm guilty of not taking peyton as much. so i've decided i'm going to start taking both girls to story time again at the library on thursdays! come join us if you're free! and now that taylor's 3...she gets to go do crafts, sing and listen to stories with the other 3-5 yr olds in another room while mama and peyton listen to stories and sing with the other babies in the main children's library area. yay!
turn around and listen peyton! tay just got out of the craft class...bad picture-but they made a pig puppet then we stayed and played games on the computer with our neighbor wesley and picked out books and peyton and mady played too peyton's getting good at standing and taylor got her very own library card what a yucky picture huh?! tada! i wish it printed their name on it and had their picture! now she can check out books and stuff all on her own!
peyton crawls the right way now on her knees...but if she's in a hurry she'll do the army crawl on her belly super fast she says mm-mm-mm-ma, muh-ma she's eating some stage 3 foods now...i figure she should since she eats some table food too that we give her-like pieces of bread, rice, pasta, veggies and fruit she eats anything you give her she likes to pull herself up and try to stand up she likes to crawl everywhere and explore the entire house and gets into everything and gets stuck like this she likes to play with everything and wants to play with every kid she sees she can hold a brush and she will attempt to brush her hair she dances, moves and shakes when she hears music
taylor will be starting preschool in less than a month!!! she's getting real good at drawing pictures of people she's a big help to me and to her sister she loves her and usually shares with her...whether it's toys or a drink of water from her sippy cup and she watches her while i'm in the bathroom or cooking or cleaning
taylor went to vbs for 3 days at lolo's church, community of the word and taylor had tons of fun learning about Jesus, singing, making crafts and playing with friends! she got to participate in the vbs graduation where they sang some of their songs and received a certificate of completion. yay!!!

today we finally made our way to the oc fair. i didn't think we'd get to go cause it was already closing weekend. but who could resist when there was a coupon floating around for $2 admission before 2pm just for closing weekend?! so papa and i, the girls, along with auntie krissa headed over and got there just before noon. it was nice and not busy yet. but i noticed lots of people were using the coupon too! the weather was perfect considering we were out in the oc! we looked around for a place to grab some quick lunch and settled on burgers...cause afterall everyone knows that it's not about the food...but more about the desserts!!! and this was gonna be the year that we actually tried some of the deep fried goodness!!!
here we come! inside! stop and take a silly pic... bumper cars can you throw a fast pitch? games... more games what to do... eat... looks like a piece of crap! but didn't taste soo bad. it was frozen. so it made a nice cool treat for a hot day. tasted like a salty chocolate bar...or as auntie krissa said...a chocolate covered pretzel... more bumper cars this time with mama & auntie krissa she loved it she kept putting her hand over her mouth cause she couldn't stop laughing inside and time for the carousel ride L- fried cheesecake, R-fried snickers BEFORE papa's gonna tackle them both AFTER kris and i tried them too...we liked the snickers one better gotta check out the stuff inside papa got suckered to buy the "sham wows" 2 (sets of 4) for $20 kid area! she can and likes to ride the rides like a big girl!!! time for the kids fun zone ralphs grocery play shopping she was in heaven! then she did some arts & crafts! tada! then she played in the castle playroom and read some books and the lady read to her and she got to pick a book for free and she also had to go construct stuff the end of the fun zone walkin thru the marketplace area oh she got soo many compliments cause she was so cute and happy now for some alaskan pig races they were too cute and we had to try some mexican funnel cake since jino saw it from jp man looks like a snake (haha) but it's really just a churro made to look like a funnel cake. we got it with just sugar and cinnamon and added caramel and chocolate syrup after we ate it... and our only family pic together at the fair! after that it was time to go home...we didn't think we'd be there till dinner time...
