updates on my bp

so i went to a dr. appt today. i just got back from it. blood pressure still high. 150/108. crap! the bottom is still high. i am very much high at risk. i was talking to the nurse...she looked back at my last visit which was oct. '07 and my blood pressure was fine. and i said ya know that's the appt. i went to so that i could get on the pill. ah, so my suspicision. it's the pill!!! the bc pill causes high blood pressure. so then the dr. comes in. we discuss it more. i must stop my birth control pill immediately!!!! i can't take the bc pill if i have high blood pressure. and she told me to stop taking the pill that urgent care gave me and try out a new, sample one for 10 days. then to come back for a bp reading and if this pill works she'll prescribe it to me. so, no more birth control pill, or the pill urgent care gave me. take new pill. avoid salt. monitor my bp. keep me in prayer. still kinda scares me cause i know i'm at high risk (and i know they mean at high risk of getting a stroke). pray that my bp will go down with this new pill and without being on birth control.

MyGYM

today our school went on a fieldtrip. instead of meeting at the school we met at MyGYM. it's a kid's fitness gym, similar to Gymboree. it was sooooooooooooooo much fun! taylor loved it and was bouncing off the walls in excitement. it made me want to enroll her. the price isn't that bad. $150 for 8 weeks for 45 min. sessions and they will waive the $50 enrollment fee. hmmm. still thinking about it. but i'd rather use that money to put her in dance classes. hehe. but she LOVED it soo much. she cried real hard cause we had to leave. she was soo mad at me. as if i was taking the class away...as if it was my punishment to her that we were going home. silly girl. it was only a 45 min. class. haha.

high blood pressure

i have it. oh no! i'm way tooo young for this. and i run all the time-so i'm not out of shape. it's my adding salt habit. oo much sodium! oh no! pray for me. my blood pressure is way to high. it's what they call-hypertension (right?!). so now i'm on meds to lower my blood pressure. i freaked myself out at my parents yesterday when i took my blood pressure. i thought i'd take it cause i've been having headaches everyday and wondered if it had to do with my blood pressure. and ya it does. so i was making a dr. appt but there wasn't any left for the day yesterday. i was going to make an appt for today but then when they found out how high my blood pressure was they said to take myself to urgent care! :( sucks. so ya, i'm on meds. my mom reminded me too that i was on it when i was pregos with taylor-cause it was high then. and she said i took myself off it once taylor was born. bad move. i wasn't supposed to do that. well, anyhow pray the meds lower it. the only thing i hate is that it makes me go pee a lot.

sewing tuesday

it seems my sewing days always fall on a tuesday. i ended up making lots of things and i finish up whatever i don't finish on wednesdays. and then i don't sew again till the following tuesday unless i get an order on etsy. hehe. here's some things for the shop and some things for taylor.

TARGET

this morning we were at target real early. so it was still empty. taylor was in her stroller and i was pushing her. we had just passed the bras and underwear section and so did a lady walking the opposite way. and taylor says outloud, real loud...

i just about died. the lady that was going he opposite direction heard taylor's comment and busted up laughing and she says, "sorry i just had to laugh!" i thought it was funny myself. what a silly taylor.

gross

taylor is gross! haha. this morning she was watching tv and i was sewing trying to finish up an order and she comes to her room, where i am sewing, mashing and squashing her hands together. i was like ew what are you doing. and then i realized she was mashing her own very gross poop inbetween her hands. i was soooo mad. i didn't even think it was funnny. it was the grossest thing ever. she must've stuck in her hands inside her diaper into her butt. yuck! she had poop on the sleeves of her pj's. i pulled them off, wiped off as much as i could with the wipees. and she got a morning bath. sooooo disgusting. really, i wasn't happy...even though i know this will be a funny story to the rest of u. haha. just thought i'd share.

...and it was great that valentine's day happened to fall on a thursday which is also our weekly date nights. so it was perfect. taylor stayed with lola and papa took me to one of my favorite restaurnats in downtown claremont which is walter's! yum! too bad i forgot to take any pictures of us at dinner.

taylor's sick again! and no one else is sick that she's been around. it's a cold with a runny nose and congestion. not sure if she's sick, sick or if it's cause she's getting more teeth?! not sure. but whatever it is....it's sad when she's sick. pray for her. thanks!

i <3 valentines!

today at school we celebrated valentine's day early. taylor was soooo excited!!! lastnight she helped me put the cupcake liners in the cupcake tray and i told her we'd make them in the morning. and this morning she woke up at 6:30 a.m.!!! now, that's early. and one of the first things she said was, "school!" she's hilarious! so we made the cupcakes. she helped pour the ingredients and mix it all up. at school they did crafts, did their normal circle time and then we got in a circle and put our bags out in front of us and each kid got to walk around and put a valentines in each bag! then we had a humongous valentines potluck full of yummy sweets!
