bye bye ms. kathy

It's been almost 3yrs since our 1st visit with Reagan's early intervention teacher Ms. Kathy! Rea started her sessions when she was just 3 months (maybe even 2 months) old!! I can't believe her time with her has come to an end. Reagan will be turning 3 in just 18 days. Typically the teacher would stay till right when she turned 3 but we've got her 1st IEP next week so no home visit and then the we...ek after Ms. Kathy is off track. Wow her off-track week came at an awful time. We both didn't even realize today was her last day. We both weren't prepared. I didn't get to get a thank you gift or write a card. But I'll be sure to have something next week when we see her at Rea's IEP. Ms. Kathy has been amazing and more than we could ever ask for from a teacher. We've shared many laughs and cries. She has helped Rea grow so much. She's taught me a lot too! Without her help I'd be so lost in the "special needs" world. She's pushed Rea and strengthened her physically and mentally. She's been one I could turn to for any questions I had regarding Rea! I really can't believe it's come to and end. I'm gonna miss her and I know Rea will too!!! Our Thursdays won't ever be the same. But it's time to move forward and see what preschool has in store for Rea! It's scary yet exciting! We love you Ms. Kathy and can't thank you enough for all you've done for us!!!

See the sticker on Rea's shirt?! She got it from Miss Stephanie at church this morning. Today was the first time Rea went to the toddler room instead of the nursery we always put her in. She is after all almost 3. Thank you Miss Stephanie for letting Rea into your class and for allowing her to be "normal" and letting her participate! Thank you for taking her to kids worship. She loves music! I lov...ed hearing how excited her sisters and cousins were that Rea was in there. Thanks for moving her stroller next to the other toddlers at the table and giving her that sense of belonging. I'm thankful for the lil toddlers making her feel welcomed and giving her kisses and "playing" playdoh with her! And again thank you Miss Stephanie for loving Rea for who she is and for also giving her a sticker at the end of class just like the other toddlers!!! Nothing beats seeing the huge smile on her face when we asked her how Sunday school was. It's like she knew...I know she knew she was in a different room. Her heart was happy and it showed! I can't wait to bring her next Sunday! Thank you Steph!!!

I prayed about getting back into the working force this year since I knew all girls would be in school and God blessed me with some amazing opportunities at Ontario Christian School, Cornerstone Christian School and New Hope Christian School.

 



Bathroom renovation

Hubby and Russ did it!!! Jino demo'd the tile and Russ helped him tile the bathroom floor downstairs! And we got a new toilet and baseboards!

So on the way home from dance Peyton was talking to me. She says "so did God make everything here?" I reply "Yes, it says so in the Bible...that in the beginning God created the heaven and the Earth. That means he created EVERYTHING and He did it in 7 days (well 6 and rested on the 7th) and on each day He created a different thing." Peyton in awww of it. She says "So God created heaven? Where's heaven and how do I get to it? I wanna see Jesus cause I've been waiting my WHOLE LIFE to see Him." Me (heart melting and big smile on my face)...."so have all of us." Me "so do you know how to get to heaven?" Peyton "no." Me (said something like this) "You have to believe in Jesus that He died for you and rose again and ask Him to come into your heart. Do you have Jesus in your heart?" Peyton "no." Me "You have to pray to ask Him to come into your heart. Do you want to ask Jesus into your heart?" Peyton says "yes." and she immediately begins to pray on her own and says something like this "dear Jesus, we pray for Jesus, we pray for God. Please come into my heart so I can see you, in Jesus name, amen!" I begin to tell her so that means you have Jesus in your heart and you have follow and obey His commands and what it says in the Bible ok?! Then I prayed for Peyton to outloud in the car. OMG...Peyton melts my heart! I'm praying for her...please pray for her sweet, little heart that Jesus uses her and that she learns and understands what it means to have Jesus I her heart. And only God knows the sincerity of her prayer and I believe she prayed it and really wants Jesus in her heart!!!!

Blue man Group

Got a lovely date night with the hubby thanks to some of his awesome work perks.

They have great box seats at the Hollywood Bowl and this time Jino got to snag them along with some of his co-workers. We saw Blue Man Group. It was quite entertaining!
