still can't believe we are sending our 5 year old and 2 1/2 year old to MAUI withOUT us!!!

praying we can catch a flight Sunday-God willing!
gotta take Rea to see her pediatrician this morning and go to the clerk recorder to get Reagan's birth certificate so she can fly-ya kinda forgot to get that-oopsy!!!

it's been a while

so i am MANY posts behind. the posts are just sitting there. there are posts on the summer and beach days, therapy, bday party's and weddings...but this first. i just need to get an update out there.

this past sunday we had our first 5K run/walk committee meeting here at our house. we had a great turn out. i think all but 4 or 5 ended up not making it. but in the end we got a couple of other people on board that weren't even at the meeting. jino and i did great tag team on leading the meeting. it was great to see our family and friends willing to help. i know we are all busy and to add one more thing to do on each of our lists takes a lot. and so i am, we are both super thankful. people took on tasks which is great. everyone had great ideas and input to share. still have some pieces to fill in though and praying for people to fill those areas. need more sponsors still to help fund the t-shirts and any other advertisement. praying!

sunday reagan also the the strangest bout of pal mal seizures. she had 7 that entire day and they ranges from 1-3 minutes and some were followed by throw up and some we knew about beforehand cause she has this distinct cry of pain-like her body knows they are coming. so monday comes along and that day she had 5 seizures. gave her neurologist a call. he ups her meds and adds another seizure med. the next few days nada....

no seizures until today. thursday the 18th-the day before we are to leave for maui. she was on the floor with the girls hanging out. then tay kept saying she was drooly rooly. i thought nothing of it. then later tay said it again so i went to go see her to move her. it was about 827am and tay had probably said it 2 minutes before. it was then i noticed at big puddle and reexamined rea and she was indeed having a seizure. her body wasn't doing it's normal jerking. but she was drooling and eyes were off to the side and her hands were in fists. that lasted about 5min. then she threw up (all over me). so i examined her. waited. she seemed good. seemed like she was responding to us talking to her and she even smiled and was bringing her hands up to her mouth. but i still wasn't sure. but i gave her a quick bath anyways. after, that again she still seems a bit off but seemed to be responding and the drooling appeared gone. i brought her back to my room and put her back down. but she still seemed off. and that's when i was like maybe she's still seizing. her eyes kept looking off to the side and she now wasn't responding. thankfully my sis was still here and i call 911. they get there in less than 5 min.

we are rushed to pomona valley-btw, did i tell u, they turned the sirens on to get there (cha-ching). we get to ER. they ran tests. called her neuro. we got the okay to go since her neuro said her seizures were because of her brain condition. but right before we leave, the nurse checks her temp again. now she has a fever of 101. they say can't take her home till her temp is down. they give her tylenol and motrin and run more labs and a chest xray to make sure it's not any kind of an infection. at about 4pm or so we get the okay to go home since the tests all came back clear and her fever had gone down. phew! what a day!
