ears to hear and eyes to see

so today i took reagan to her appointment with the audiologist to finish up the hearing tests...
the audiologist was happy with what the results she got.
she said her hearing in the high pitch sounds in both ears are normal and for the low pitch sounds..in the right ear they are normal and for the most part in the left ear low pitch they are borderline normal (she says borderline, to err on the side of caution).

so this is good news!
praise God!


also...rea's been wearing her contact. i still need to get a patch to patch the other eye. i'm gettin used to putting it in and takin it out. it's a struggle though sometimes.

CONTACT!!!

i have 2 posts i am backed up on....but i just had to post this one first...

this morning we finally put the contact into reagan's left eye!!!
we had such a hard time at the doctor's office when they first showed us how to put it in. she cried like there was no tomorrow. so when this day came that we would finally do it on our own we were a little scared. we thought she'd cry and make it super hard on us. i think we were more nervous. but it was sooo easy! praise God!!!! she didn't cry. she just let us put it in.

busy, busy, busy bee

so i've been very busy.

reagan:
i've got doctor appointments every week for little reagan...whether it's with her pediatrician or a specialist or with someone form regional center.
she's also officially 8lbs. that's awesome considering she was only 4.3 at birth.
i'm also trying to have her eat as close 4oz per feeding if she can

peyton:
just got over being sick
still has asthma which gets 10x worse when she's sick.
she's a lil on the skinny minnie side now.
i really need to find a class to put her in. i know she'd love gymanstics but that can get quite pricey. must check into it.

taylor:
still goes to school every day of the week. MWF afternoons at the same school she was at when she was 3 and t/th mornings at LAUP.
she's back to dancing (on tuesdays) after an over 2 1/2 mo hiatus. we are at a different studio and i think i'll actually stick to this one.
wednesdays she's still been going to ckc (calvary kids club) at our church. i think i'm going to start volunteering there.
and thursdays-today she begins cheer class again through the city! she loves it. when she's 5 she'll be old enough for pop warner if we decide to go that route.

shake it up!

taylor's been out of dance since a few weeks before baby reagan was born. the last studio she was at was just too far. i REALLY loved that studio though but it's too hard to trek on over there with 3 kids in tow. i checked out a different dance studio last week and today i checked out another. AND i actually enrolled her. i'm happy to have her back in dance and she's happy to be back to dancing!!! if anyone watches disney...there's a show called "shake it up" that is about kids and dance show they are in and she LOVES that show. she always dances with them and tried to do what they are doing. so tada here we are! and she's super excited for the recital in june!!!

reagan....

she's practically 3 months (on the 14th to be exact). and she is reaching some of those milestones...i'd say for the past 2 weeks...i've caught reagan cooing. and of course when i try to record her she stops. haha. she likes to kick when she's laying down or when you hold her on your lap. she's like peyton and sucks her thumb-okay, more of her hand or whatever she can get in her mouth. she can lift and move her head when she's on her belly and has some head control when u prop her up. she smiles and she knows my voice, and papa's and lola's and her sister's and it goes on. she stops to listen when someone is talking to her. and she's been sleeping through the night since the 2month mark. thank you Jesus..let's reach more milestones!
she got fitted for her contact which we should get in a few weeks. boy, is it hard to put on. she finally has the appointment to finish her hearing test. we only tested the left ear last time and now it's time for the right ear. she's still drinking her expensive formula-nutramigen. hehe. about 2-3oz. and she even has some rice cereal added to it as told by her GI dr so we can add more calories. she also had her 1st visit from inland regional center last week. they'll b makin weekly visits n setting goals n seeing if they are reached. we'll also be workin on exercises to help her developmental growth.

reagan updates

this morning Reagan had her first visit from Inland Regional Center.
it went well. they did an assessment. we'll be having visit each week from them.

and Reagan also finally got fitted for the contact that goes into the left eye.
it's gonna be challenging getting that contact into her eye. lots of crying. but it's doable.

it's been an interesting 2 1/2 months of Reagan's life so far and it's just the beginning. and nope, i'm not complaining at all. i know God's allowing this all to happen and that He is here with us for the whole ride!!!! =) we're very thankful and blessed to have Reagan in our lives...wouldn't change a thing!
