A new tail for Lion

Peyton has been saying she wants a new tail for lion. Today at Lola's house she asked her for a new tail for lion and she even picked fabric. I ended up being the one to cut and sew lions new tail. She was excited about it at first but I think she still is unsure of how she feels about it. She loves her lion so much and is super sad that he's falling apart...he's her best friend!!!

I've known Sarah (and Reen) since middle school...and I thank God for both their friendships that we've managed to stay friends all these years. We try to meet up every other month if not every month. We've either been to or been in each others weddings! I love these ladies!

 

 

 

 

She's improving

Today at therapy..during Reagan's OT session she sat in what they call a "modified ring position" and held it for 30 seconds all on her own! This evening I wanted to practice her sitting up on her own again and this time she held it for a whole minute! I'm so proud of her! PTL!

exciting news!

My hubby and I along with some family and friends are running in the Surf City Half Marathon on Feb 3, 2013....and today, my husband and I both received separate emails 

I've replied. My husband has replied and we are just waiting for a response. We will gladly take any opportunity to raise awareness about Polymicrogyria. Please keep this opportunity in your prayers.

what an amazing milestone to reach

turned 90!!!!!!!!!

2 years of Reagan having seizures

trying different med dosages

it became our norm

yet we daily, constantly prayed they'd go away

 and voila...

about the 2nd week of Nov i began to notice them disappear

 and this was after i thought it was the beginning of them getting worse cause the seizures changed and were stronger and more frequent and seemed more violent

tried calling, leaving voicemails and emailing her neuro and it seemed like they didn't care

finally got around to her appt about the "new seizures" and all i had to tell them was that they were gone

they disappeared

of course them being doctors they couldn't comprehend it

they need everything to be by the book

and of course wanted an eeg done

i told them we pray for and so do all our friends and family 

and by God's miraculous grace...

he took the seizures away!

the seizures drained her of life

they'd happen so often that she'd always be soo sleepy after one...

then when she woke up she'd have another 

and of course it made her sleepy again 

and the pattern repeated itself

NOW...

Reagan is a completely different little girl

there's life IN her

she laughs

she babbles

she makes more sounds

she smiles so much

she smiles on command

she can hold up her head

she tolerates tummy time well

her trunk is much stronger

she plays

she reaches

she shows excitement

she talks back when you talk to her

she is awake a LOT

she takes like 1-2 long naps (like a normal toddler)

she eats table food so much better

she responds and follows

she plays

she's growing!!!

she's definitely got Jesus IN her!!!

that PTL showed NO seizure activity!!!

I swear this year I have been so awful at blogging!!! I need to catch up! The last time I blogged was about the Long Beach Half...and before that it was about Father's Day but I missed July-October. Sheesh.

then women's biblestudy at our church started back up and this time we added Nicole to the worship team with my sis and I...and the goal is eventually to get me playing the bass and Nicole on keys.

 October

 Biola had the 2nd annual 5K event....that all stemmed from our 5KRun/Walk 4 HoPE for Reagan we had there 2 years ago...this year they raised money for a different cause but wanted us to be there to honor us as their innagural charity

Peyton had stuff at her school

 Taylor's school does literature day in which they dress up as a character from a book

and can't forget Rea too....and these are some skirts that I made years ago for Tay that get passed on to her sisters

 

and then we had dinner with friends and went trick-or-treating around their neighborhood

November

my birthday!!!

 we also took a cousin's pic for Lola's birthday present.

 

 

and we had a 1 year thanksgiving celebration for our dear friend Jarrod who celebrated 1 year from his surgery of taking out his tumor!

 

 can't forget Peyton's 4th birthday!!! also no party this year...just our traditional family dinner
