what a great way to end 2009...jino was blessed with a brand new job and we were finally able to purchase new (used) car for the fam!
acura mdx it's already been a a great start to a new year! and we can't wait to see what else God has in store!
we spent new years having dinner with the mason's and called it an early night...there's no way we can stay up til midnight! hah!
then new years day our lil fam did some shopping then headed to jino's uncles for their new years day lunch feast...and there we finally got to watch UP ( i loved every bit of it, and especially since i haven't watched a movie in such a long time)!
this christmas seemed like it came all too fast. we seemed to be late for christmas this year...sending out christmas cards barely the week before...and before we knew it...christmas was here!
christmas eve
we had christmas eve dinner at lola and lolo's house auntie krissa made us some mustaches happy peyton opening presents christmas morning our lil family of 4 opened presents then we made our way back to lola and lolo's for lola's side of the family's christmas lunch party this seems to be the only pic i took of the day but we did manage a family pic by the tree once we got home and before we called it a night
then later that night around 9pm-ish we headed over to my aunts house down the street and ate more yummy food, played silly games, did a cousins white elephant then just before midnight "santa" came and passed out the presents! (too bad noone too any pics) then we got home close to 1am and we were all pooped from the christmas party filled day!
the day after christmas we usually have an after christmas party with lolo's side of the fam. it's always fun there. we ate a whole lot, played some wii and rockband and passed out presents
martinez fam bam she's so grown up we couldn't get a good one of them together the cousins opening presents tay the cat (jino's cousin knitted up these cute beanies for the girls) and peyton the bear-although she didn't like wearing it our lil fam
it's been a good year and a half with ATD studio...
but today was Taylor's last recital with them. we're venturing to a new studio that doesn't focus on their competition team (don't get me wrong, someday i'd love for her to be in the competition team, but just not now (which they wanted her in), not at 3 years old...c'mon now-just let em love dancing and being a kid!)... so we've found a new studio...hopefully this one works out!
here they are about to dance... taylor and i have both made some great friends here the winter show is their smaller recital that they do at ATD studio
did i mention i love mommy & me class?! =) hehe well, i DO! and today they had their christmas party!
they made decorated/painted ornaments then played circle/songs/story/share time... tay and her buddy austin then they had a christmas book exchange then had their yummy potluck feast
at taylor's preschool they had a polar express themed christmas party.
the kids came to school in their pj's and had to give their ticket in order to come in (although taylor misplaced hers-but still was able to get it!) then they listened as their teacher read them the story and they even got on their pretend train and drank hot chocolate just like the kids in the story and they waved to the people in the neighborhood too and listened to more of the story and they each got their own bell that they could ring and only those who believed could hear the ringing of the bell! the end! time for a class pic by the tree (with some kids absent) and now time to decorate cookies!!!
on saturday we celebrated besties very 1st birthday!!!
the cupcake birthday cake cute giveaways the set-up table decor they had a face painter, a balloon twister and a photobooth we tried to get the besties to take a pic together happy birthday!
