birthdays and showers

saturday we went to kelly's 2nd birthday at the park
!

we did crafts and made hats
we played pin the tail on the donkey
we sang happy birthday and ate cake!
and we helped opened presents
all this while peyton slept...


sunday we went to a baby shower for baby asher! but i didn't take any pictures! boo to me! can't wait to meet you baby asher!

crafty day

today my sister and i made some baby shower presents!
we made burp rags and a nursing cover.
she bought the burp rags and i bought the fabric.
she cut and ironed the fabric pieces and i sewed them on.
and then i made the matching nursing cover.

can't wait to meet you baby asher! (i think that's his name-hehe)

a family that runs together...

tonight was the first time that all 4 of us went out running together.
it was peyton's very 1st time going out on a run in the jogger.

we call it the "cow run" cause this is our view
papa had taylor in tow
and i had peyton in tow
it was very tiring but fun!

35 and 7 months

today is papa's 35th birthday!!!

and it also happens to be peyton's 7 month birthday!!!

he came home from spending a day up north for work and we bombarded him with birthday greetings and presents

and i ordered and printed 2 blog books-thanks katie for finding the website ( 2 years worth, 1 book for each year) from an online company...hardback covers. they weren't cheap but these books will be super awesome to have and keep looking back on in the years to come...and jino loved it! now i can say i wrote a book! haha. i wrote 2 books!!! (those of you with blogs should print them too-they make a perfect gift...you can also get it cheaper by getting a soft cover...my sister printed/ordered hers too!)

we've been on a burger hunt...there are several awesome LA locations we want to try but for now we opted for something closer The Habit

the girls and the bear took a dip in the baby pool today! ahhh how i love summer! =) this was peyton's 1st time in a baby pool. at first she was just sitting on the sidelines in her exersaucer then i put her feet in and she had a big smile...so then i had to get her bathing suit (that used to be taylor's) and she was sooo happy splish splashing away with her sister and cousin!

tonight we took my dad out for an early father's day dinner.

we ate at Pondahan (which happens to be my favorite filipino restaurant)-and i didn't even pick it! whoo-hoo!

taylor made papa the cutest card. i love when she draws people. i think it's the cutest when kids draw stick people. and we got him golf themed presents since he's taken a new liking to golf. the girls got him a mug and they put their little finger prints on with a golf pic. then he got a golf hat and golf shirt and a gift certificate to one of the golf ranges he goes to.
i made him a big breakfast at his request. it was my first time making churizo...and we made them into burritos and also turkey bacon and of course some coffee. then we headed to church and after we grabbed some lunch at took it to the park to enjoy the day together.

6 month appt.

peyton FINALLY had her 6 month appointment today...

talk about late...she'll be 7 months on monday...better late than never...
and she is sick too with a fever of 100.7
she's coughing, sneezing, has watery eyes and is wheezing.
so since she's sick she couldn't get her shots today.
so the stats are...
weight 13.3 pounds
length 25 1/2 inches

cool cuts

today taylor got her very 1st haircut!!!
...and she's 3 now and has never had her hair cut...

so we took her to cool cuts 4 kids
she was sooo excited!
she's been wanting a haircut for a long time...
since auntie krissa last cut her hair cause she wants to do everything auntie krissa does...haha!
i told her she had to wait till after her recital (which was on saturday)
so today she finally got the haircut she's been wanting!
you get to pic a dvd that you wanna watch while you get your actual haircut...of course she picked hsm!
and you get to choose which station you wanna sit at....and she chose the princess themed one

i think she looks cute!!!

saturday was taylor's BIG recital day!

it was at colony high school's auditorium.

it was her 1st big recital where they wore costumes and all..
they dressed up as snow white and did a tap number to "some day my prince will come."
