For those of you who don't know me and don't know the journey I've been on for 2 years now...
For those of you who don't know me and don't know the journey I've been on for 2 years now...
I'm a wife to an amazing and supportive husband and a mom to 3 very beautiful little girls, the youngest Reagan is our very own special needs child. She has been diagnosed with a brain condition called Polymicrogyria PMG (to read more on PMG see the tab on my blog). PMG means man, small wrinkles/fold in the brain. With PMG, her brain was not able to develop properly. Those wrinkles/folds in her brain cause all kinds of impairments. With Reagan, she is developmentally delayed. She suffers from a form of Cerebral Palsy. She doesn't walk or talk (yet). She has undergone 2 cataract removal surgeries and currently wears bifocal lenses. She wears AFO's which are braces on her feet/legs to correct her feet positioning and to eventually help her stand/walk. She wears a thumb split to correct her cortical thumbing and she suffers from seizures. She currently receives a lot of early intervention. She has a special needs teacher, vision and Braille, OT, PT, vision and soon speech. She's has all kinds of specialist she sees-a neurologist, gastroenterologist, endocrinologist and orthopedist. Our daughter may not be able to ever walk or run (till she gets to heaven) but for now I'm vowing to be her feet, to be her legs...to run for her....because she can't and I can. I'm dedicating any race, and training run, fun, leisurely run I do for Reagan. Together with my husband, with our family and friends we RUN 4 REA.

The Long Beach Half Marathon this past October was the 1st race I ran dedicated to Reagan.
The 2nd race was this past November and it was the Mission Inn Half Marathon
