May 30th was Peyton's last day of preschool at Patchwork. Like with Taylor she would've gone another year before kindergarten but we aren't returning next school year since I found out about the TK program thru Chino Valley Unified. It's not at the same school Taylor is at but it's at a school close by...pretty much just like going to kinder. It's 5 days a week...half days. Bummed that there's a new K cutoff and she misses it. Big thanks to her Teachers Ms. Erin, lil Miss Erin and Ms. Chris for teaching my lil girl.

OC half marathon
I ran some Rea miles this past Cinco de Mayo Sunday! It was way too early and ccccold and windy. Not to mention-was at my brother-in-laws graduation and lunch before....then Krissa and I headed straight to the expo after that to get our packets and goodies....then I joined my hubby at the lovely Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa where he already was at his company's work retreat. From then on it was socializing at happy hour and dinner fun shortly after...all while keeping the half marathon the next day in mind. I couldn't sleep. I was up every got tossing and turning. The bed was amazingly soft but I actually prefer a firm mattress. I was just out of my norm and was freakin out a bit knowing I had to run 13.1 miles the next day on no sleep. Plus we had to be up super early to catch the 445am shuttle to the actual start. I had a goal to PR my half marathon time to better than 1:49. I had told myself before that all i had to do was find the pacer and follow the pacer the entire time like I did for surf city. Well the only time I saw the pacer was at the start and I kept going back and forth with do I go right behind now or wait and find them later like I did at the last half marathon. Well I found my cousin at the start and figured I could run with him re entire time cause he's fast and can do it well under 1:49. He didn't compensate for the hills and I'm usually used to hills but all the activities that led up to the race I feel hindered my performance. The gun clocked us at 1:51. We were both shocked cause we get like we were running super fast.
