memorial day weekend...

started on friday and consisted of cleaning out, sanding, priming and painting mom's (my mother-in-law) kitchen cabinets and walls for her mother's day present...i did as much as i could but mostly watched and took care of the girls and provided moral support. haha. we love you mom! thanks for all that you do for us mom! (thanks for the pics kris)

in the midst of all that, saturday taylor had a birthday party to go to for her friend wes-sa-lee (that's how she's says it)..he's our next door neighbor and he turned 4!

half birthday!

yesterday (the 22nd) was peyton's half a year birthday!

i can't believe she's already 6 months old!
time flies super fast!
she's growing...
she now weighs ___(to be posted after her 6 mo. appt)
and measures ___ in length
she's sleeping her 10-12 hours at night
she's eating lots of baby food...
5 milk feedings in a 24-hr period...oatmeal for breakfast, orange veggie for lunch and green veggie for dinner
she rolls back and forth all over the place till she gets to where she wants
she loves to look at the world on her belly, propped up by her arms
she now loves to nap and sleep on her belly
she coos and babbles and make lots of noise
she loves to play peek-a-boo
she smiles a lot and likes to makes strangers in grocery line smile
she laughs a lot

soon she'll be sitting up on her own and crawling!

mother's day for me was celebrated on saturday...the whole fam woke up early and papa cooked us my favorite big breakfast which consisted of french toast on sweet hawaiian bread, bacon and coffee. and they gave me one my lovely mother's day presents...jino took all my recipes and put them in this awesome recipe book...he found this website online where they print out all the recipes, write a message in it and put it in a cool book...

after breakfast we headed toward the ocean! we strolled along sunset beach even though it was still a bit chilly and cloudy and then had an early lunch at my super favorite place to eat...taco surf...after we headed towards hb's main street for some ice cream and walking around the shops then headed home

where we rested for a little bit before dropping of the girls at lola and lolo's so we could partake in the graduation festivities for my sis-in-law chris who got her MA. started out with some champagne at the house then a trip to north hollywood in the huge hummer limo...where it stopped to drop us off in the noho district right in front of tokyo delves. this place is awesome! it's a japanese restaurant/show. if you haven't been, i highly recommend it! just keep in mind you definitely don't go there for the food or drinks....it's all about the entertainment! we were all dancing, laughing, clapping, shouting and cheering the entire time!

then sunday, mother's day, we skipped out on our own church and went to jino's parent's church (sigh-haha-jk) to celebrate mother's day there for her. they had a mother's day luncheon.

then mother's day continued on monday where my sis and i and the kids took my mom out for a mother's day lunch (but i failed to take any pics)!

happy cinqo de mayo

today was a fun-filled day!

started the morning out with a birthday breakfast at guasti homestyle cafe celebrating tina's b-day! this is an awesome mom and pop restaurant with .25 cent coffee, mugs of all shapes and sizes brought in by customers and businesses and ginormous pancakes the size of a tire!!!
then we headed off to a special dance class session (since dance is usually on wed. and that also meant taylor skipped out on school). the girls were very tired from playing at breakfast and being in their ballet leotards and tights all day, and not to mention the heat. but they have been hard at work practicing their dance routine for the recital coming up next month!
and to top off the evening i went out for a much needed girls night out with some of my really good friends!!!
