peyton DID IT

day 1
1st night we had her try sleeping in her toddler bed cold turkey. that didn't work. it was foreign to her. she never slept on a toddler bed. she kept getting out. so we let her try and go on her sister's bed. that didn't work. she'd turn lights on and off, get up to play. we would hear laughing and talking. that lasted 45 min. til we finally put her back in her crib in her own room and she knocked out shortly after.
day 2
attempted to have her sleep on her own toddler bed. she wanted to sleep with her sister in her bed. that didn't work. after some time she would get up, touch the computer or turn on the lights. we'd hear laughing and talking. or taylor would complain. that also lasted about 45 min til we put her back in her crib and she fell fast asleep.
day 3
tonight!
we decided to humor her tonight. we didn't think she would do it. so we were just gonna put her right in her crib but peyton insisted on sleeping with her "ate" taylor. so we told her ok, 1 last chance, you get up and that's it. her mattress wasn't even on her toddler bed this time. it was already in her crib. she was pretty tired laying there next to her sister. then taylor yells "she got up." so we went up but peyton was still laying there. so off to her crib she was supposed to go. she went in her crib but cried. she really wanted to sleep with her sister. so i caved. i told jino let's give her another chance but this time let her sleep in taylor's room but on her own bed. we tucked her in. told her she got 1 chance to do that. by now she was super tired. we went downstairs. she cried. i went up and she was outta her bed. but i decided to still tuck her in and i sat there next to the bed til she fell asleep!!! she DID IT!

praying it lasts...and that she can stay there the whole night.

hmmm...time for some new, matching toddler bed sheets! =)

lil peyton...

so i forgot to mention how potty training is going. well it isn't. peyton got sick and confused pee and diarrhea and so i put her back in a diaper. i told myself i'd start again after she was done being sick and had solid stools again. well her poop is back to normal but i am in no mood to potty train. plus i don't think she's quite ready. she's not 2 yet so i'm okay with it. she just got an introduction to it. hehe. in due time she'll be potty trained. so i might be buying 2 different sized diapers for a while but i'm okay with that. =)

also, yesterday i put peyton's toddler bed together that was given to us. she's never slept on a toddler bed. we thought it might be fun last night to see if she'd sleep in it. we tried. she failed. haha. we put in side by side next to taylor's in her room. she laid it in and then cried and got up and out as soon as we left. then we thought we'd let her sleep with taylor in her bed. that didn't work either. she would get up and turn the lights on, etc. sad thing is she was really tired. cause peyton's usually really good about knockin out right away 8pm hits or even in the 7pm hour. so this went on for an hour then we finally decided she wasn't ready. it was too new for her. so back to her crib she went and fast asleep she fell. i'm gonna try and have her take a nap on her toddler bed today.

33 weeks

can't believe i'm at 33 weeks now.
just 6 weeks left until my scheduled c-section on nov. 1st.
whoo-hoo!

oh no!
flashbacks of being pregnant with taylor...
breathing trouble

asthma.
not fun having to give myself breathing treatments and having to use an inhaler.
it's sooo not fun being preggy and sick.

also...
been having to drive back and forth to orange (UCI med ctr) for my nst (non stress test) appts which are twice a week...in addition to my regular prenatal visits! oy!

finally got scheduled for my fetal mri.
pls say a prayer.
it's for next thurs. sept. 30th.

day date

since i am sick we all missed church. i know we didn't all have to. but technically peyton and taylor are sick too. peyton's nose was super runny. so it wouldn't have been fair to spread their germs. haha. but they both still went to church...to lolo's church. so papa and i had some free time. we were headed to the market-and in fact were in the parking lot. then i suggested we ditch the market and just go to MILK and hang out. of course we jumped at the chance. there's something about not having kids that makes one feel liberated!!! so off to LA we went. it was pretty early and thought we should eat lunch first. so we headed out to another place we've been wanting to try Father's Office

which we found didn't open til 12 on sundays. so we walked around all the furniture stores, galavanted around town and did some thrifting. i found 2 lovely vintage cardigans that will have to wait to be worn till after baby comes out! =( it was finally noon and time to eat so we split a burger
and sweet potato fries
. it was good. nothing i'd probably long for again. it just wasn't a "burger" to me. after we finally got to eat we headed for dessert at MILK
and grabbed some blue velvet cake and red velvet cupcakes
to take home, but not before eating the ice cream bars
we got. i had the strawberry shortcake bar and jino had the red velvet ice cream bar.
both were delish!!

mom's bday

mom's bday was on the 14th and we took her to

uncle tim's thai house!
been going to "uncle tim" since i was in junior high and he was at the original thai bbq in w.cov.

potty training day #1

i wasn't planning on potty training Peyton just yet. i knew i had to do it. my original goal and thinking was how awesome it would be to get her potty trained before Reagan came. then i got lazy. and never started it. a few months back i did buy her a package of pull ups that i never put to use til now. it all started sunday at church. the worker at church took all the kids with her as she took Bear to go potty. then she asked Peyton if she had to go and of course Peyton replied "yes" cause that's just an answer she'll say. hah! and lo and behold she went pee in the potty. so i told myself i had to start. she's been watching bears get potty trained for the past few months and i knew she had an interest. she'd always sit on his potty when he was here.

anyhow so i started today. she was in pull ups. i would frequently ask her if she wanted to go potty or she would just sit herself on the potty. i think she went about 3, maybe 4 times total pee in the potty and she went poop once. after the poop i even had her in big girl panties! and no accidents. but that's cause she was in pull ups most of the time. and she also has a sticker potty chart which she's excited about.

i'm soo thankful that Peyton was ready for this. it makes it so much more easier. thank you Jesus!!! hehe.

she had a 2month break since she didn't do summer.
and she is now moved up in classes.

she had a private lesson today. it wasn't supposed to be private. but none of the other girls showed. and the teacher's actually gonna move her to a different class...a more advanced class full of 5 yr. olds! hehe!

taylor started her other preschool today.

it's in DB thru the YMCA
(it's not tiny tots)
it's called LAUP
Los Angeles Universal Preschool
it's funded by First 5 LA.
i think its a great program...too bad it only serves LA county. more counties need good, free (yup, i said free) preschools that prepare 4 yr olds for kindergarten.
(hehe-but ya, i'm still checking it out-which is why she's still enrolled in her other preschool..but will probably remain in both).
she goes 5 days a week and goes to the other one 3 days a week on top of that.

Labor Day

we were crazy and ventured off to the L.A. County Fair...on opening weekend. never again on opening weekend. went with the the mason's and the maese's!

and a huge dinosaur exhibit
we were pooped by then it was 6 hrs later so we headed home....but we weren't there for long cause lolo invited us to come over for bbq (even though more than half the fam was missing-mom/kris in ny and jp in costa rica and joe was working)...it was just us, uncle b,lolalola and lolo
he made us great food!
