sewing days

tuesday-thursday are usually my sewing days. today i had to catch up on making skirts for the boutique...i made 5. i still had 1 in my stash. so now i have 6. i'd like to have at least 10 skirts for the boutique. and i think my safest bet in making the skirts is making them elastic waist.

here are the burp rags...waiting to be folded...but i still need to make the appliques and apply them to the onesies!

ah, so i finally figured out the new shoes i've been working on. here they are! i'd like to bring 12 pairs or so. they are easy to make! i saw them on etsy...made out of different fabric...and someone was actually selling the pattern...but of course i didn't wanna pay for the pattern so i figured it out on my own! yay!

i need to order more labels already! hehe! this is fun!!!

MOM's Club Halloween Party

Today Taylor got to be Dora again (for the 2nd time)!!!

We colored Halloween pictures, made egg carton spiders and decorated cookies that we got to eat.



Then we played outside and took pictures and ate.

The best part was the tailgate trick-or-treating-where everyone opens their trunk and you leave the candy/treat in it and you walk to everyone's trunk and get candy.

It was sooo much fun!!! I got sooo much candy that I didn't get to eat.

fall boutique

so i have about a month before the fall boutique with mom's club. i have lots to sew!!! a lot!!!! i am no where near done! oy! but i can't wait. i sure hope to make more than i've spent. so it's great that i can overcharge. the club take 20% which is a little high for me but it's for a good cause...to help those mother's-to-be in need. praise God for this opportunity!!!

today at school (aka: mommy and me class) we had our halloween party! taylor was DORA!!! we started the day like normal with crafts...a halloween mobile and ghost hand tree...and as usual the mom's did the crafts as the kids raced to go play. then we had circle time and ms. dorothy (the teacher) called each kid up individually to show off our costumes, we also silly songs in our costumes then we went outside real quick (cause the air is bad) and had out little halloween parade! after we came back to our halloween potluck feast full of yummy treats, mac n cheese, nuggets, brownies, cupcakes (which i brought) and a bunch of other food for mommies to eat too! we ended with more circle time then ms. dorothy handed us goodie bags on the way out! fun!

my fabric labels have arrived!!!

i have a lot of items to put labels on! oh my! i wonder if i'll be ready for the boutique!?!? i think i'll need to order more...and i'd like to choose a different design! fun, fun!!!

mom's club field trip to the pumpkin patch tomorrow (thursday). i don't think we are gonna go. it's the same one we went to with school.

i've been busy sewing my burp rag and onesie giftsets (without the matching bag). my goal is 40 of them. i want to have a lot to see at the mom's club holiday boutique! plus i'd like to add skirts and diaper bag clutches. i'm experimenting with new ways of making them. also with the baby shoes too! will post pics as soon as i am done!

half marathon training this week hasn't gone so well due to all the fires! so sad that there are so many fires.

did i mention i'm "reading through the bible" with our church? ya, it's a whole church thing even though i am a week behind. we started in matthew.

went to the LA Farmer's Market and the Grove for the 1st time! we LOVED the farmer's market! there's was a pumpkin patch there that we were supposed to go to but we didn't. we just ended up walking around all the shops and eating and more walking around

it was geneyem's baby shower...but i didn't take any pictures of her. haha. but i got this:

Pumpkin Patch Trip #1

Today our "school" went to the La Verne Pumpkin Patch at Heritage Park! Taylor loved it and kept saying "pumpkin." We are going to this same pumpkin patch next week with our MOM's club! Tomorrow we are going to one too with Papa!

OC Half Marathon

January 6, 2007.
Yup, I am running it with a few friends.
I can't wait!
It's only 13.1 miles.
It's not another marathon.
I am NOT running another 26.2 miles.
Haven't registered yet, but soon.
I started training this week.

kimono top

i'm here. i'm still sewing. just haven't been posting. gosh there's sooo many things i wanna make...i search all different websites and like soo many things. i really wanna take sewing lessons too. and i really wish i could follow a pattern...but i'm so lost at it.

she needed long sleeves...but this is more like 3/4 sleeve. hehe. i'm working on a kimono dress right now...maybe it can be her thanksgiving dress. we'll see how it turns out.

happy birthday to our friend scottie. friday night went to shogun teppan steak and sushi in la verne while wowa (lola) and wowa (lolo) watched taylor and visited baby aj. then after the rest went bowling while jino and i hung out together to get coffee.

and happy birthday to my dad who is 68! went out tonight (sat) to eat at johnny rockets on hollywood and highland...then rushed over to the steve allen theatre (also in hollywood) to make our 8 o'clock show...to watch Max Mavern...well, the guy can do things with his mind...like guess what you are holding, etc. it was eerie and freaky and mostly boring!!!

just another day at school...

taylor loooooves school! you ask her if she wants to go to school and she doesn't hesitate to say "yes, yes." then she'll say "sand"...cause she remembers they have a huge playground with sand to play in. and sometimes she'll say "friday" cause she remembers that school is on friday. she even remembers her teacher's name and says "door-tee" (dorothy). she loves playing with all the toys and all the other kids. her 2nd favorite part of school is circle time...cause that's where she gets to sing and dance and listen to stories and see all the puppets the teacher has.

today we made spiders...since halloween is coming up and to use as they sang some silly spider songs during circle time.

then of course...her ultimate favorite thing to do...is play in the sand...
