5K Run/Walk for HoPE

my cousin mitch created this logo and the fliers and pledge forms

Link
it's less than 2 months away
and as krissa has mentioned in her blog and i have continued to say over and over again
this 5K event that i have been planning since the end of May truly has not been the work of my own planning. it's been in God's plan the whole entire time...from the thoughts of the 5K, to the venue, the date of the event, the sponsors, the vendors, the participants, the committee team, the trinkets and fliers and every last detail...it has all fallen into place almost perfectly...and that is because it was and has been God's plan all along from the very beginning.

if you haven't already done so RSVP for the event here

"like" our official facebook page here

follow us on twitter here

see the flier here and print them out to hand out

get a pledge form here and start collecting pledges to bring on race day

remember the race is FREE
at Biola on October 15th
just ask that you bring in a $20 donation or collect some pledges, but if you can't, just come!
this is the day after her 1st birthday which is on the 14th...
this is pretty much her birthday party!

help us spread awareness on holoprosencephaly (HPE)
and raise $ for Families for HoPE-so that they can support and educate all those other families who have kids with HPE and so that they are able to have their conference every 3 years

dance team

So Taylor's been at a new dance studio since the Summer started...and I know I've switched her a lot. She's only 5 1/2 and this is the 4th and last studio she will be at (for now-haha). I really like her dance studio being that it's Christian based! The teacher are sweet and they actually teach technique. Again, I love that it's not like all the other studios out there and focused on a competition cause this studio doesn't have that. And I can't forget that I love how they have a special needs class-since that hits home for us.

They have seen how Taylor dances and this new Fall dance season she got invited to be part of the mini dance team ages 5-6. It's NOT a competition team. It's an elite team that gets to perform at various functions-churches, community events and organizations. I'm thrilled to have her be part of it...since if you know Taylor or even if you just see her...she's non-stop dancing wherever she is. She will dance while she's at the market with you, waiting in line, at church, in a parking lot, in the car, in the bathroom...ANYWHERE.

KINDERGARTEN!!!

the day finally came and Taylor started her 1st day of Kindergarten!!!
it came early too...August 29th and we had just came back from vacation in Maui that Friday.
we were all a little jet lagged but Taylor still managed to be awake and ready for her 1st day!
this is a funny pic of me but oh well.
it's right in front her her classroom #3 with teacher Mrs. Sohns
their first day was only 2hours long and parents had to stay.
it was about getting the kids familiar with the classroom and their daily tasks.
it was like a scavenger hunt day. we got a list of activities to complete together.
take a picture with the classroom mascot Clifford
read Brown Bear, Brown Bear which Taylor knows by heart
get on the playground equipment and slide down
she is sliding down with Gavin...her friend and the little boy (who is not so little) down the street...they went to preschool together and are now at the same elementary school, although not in the same class
and this pic completes Taylor's 1st week of Kindergarten
it's Friday and so that means it's Spirit Day so she wearing her ginormous school shirt
