pillowcase top/dress frenzie!!!!

i can never pass up a great deal of eye catching fabric, whether it be a flea market find, or something vintaged and used at the thrift store, or walmart or joanne's...a good deal...is a good deal!!!! and today i found some....and i actually had some time to sew again (i'd been soo busy and preoccupied with the bible studylately). i even took my sewing machine out of taylor's room and made a mess on the kitchen table like old times. hehe. it started with 1 pillowcase dress-which is more like a long top....then next thing ya know...i had 5 total. i love them! they are sooooo super easy to make thanks to Red Instead's handy dandy, super easy tutorial I found online (that I have been using for quite some time now).

my collection:1 yellow, 2 of the black, 2 of the aqua
this is actual for my preggy sis.but i wanted one also so had to make me one too ...it's a nice lightweight, sheer fabric
when i saw this i thought it would go real cute with black leggings and heels. the fabric feels like a lightweight linen, but it's probably just cotton
i don't know what to say about this one. the picture doesn't do justice. but it caught my eye. and i just had to buy it. i can't even explain what kind of fabric it is. i don't even know if it is supposed to be used to make clothing with. haha.

my only complaint is not knowing what the actual fabric is. haha. and to you the fabric may be blah...but to me, they caught my eye and that's all that matters. maybe i'll post them on etsy. i do thank God for my new love of sewing...one day...just one day maybe i'll talk an actual sewing class.
