G-tube baby

So the time finally came and we made the decision to have Reagan get a g-tube placed. We didn't want to but we knew it would benefit her. She goes through so many seasons of throwing up and such and we didn't know how much food she was actually taking in. And not to mention giving her her daily dose of meds 2x a day was ridiculous. It was not a pretty sight to see as she would scream and cry an throw a huge fit. So we knew we wanted the g-tube to make giving meds easier and to give her supplemental feeds of Pediasure when she was having a bad season.

waiting for her to get called in so we can get this procedure started
She sure looks cute in lil scrubs! Checking vitals....she's a lil warm... Praying it doesn't affect today's gtube procedure!
There she goes! See you in 30 minutes or so! Luv you!
She's in recovery! Surgery a success! Gtube in place. Waiting to see her!

Finally got to see Rea! She's such a trooper! Totally didn't know what to expect when we would finally see the gtube. We thought it'd be a lot lower but really we didn't know. She's still trying to "wake up." No food today...she's scheduled to eat tomorrow by mouth and by gtube! Now we wait for final instructions and to get a room.
Up in Rea's room. Pray for a speedy recovery. She seems to be in pain. So sad.

Someone sure is happy this morning!!! Thanks for your prayers! Looks like she's not in much pain today. Still waiting for drs to round so we can figure out what's going on today and when she can eat. We've already learned how to give her meds thru the gtube and both of us had a turn doing it. It's soooo easy! Such a relief to not have her fight her meds. Can't wait to give her a pediasure feed thru it too!!!
See that face?! It's the face of a very happy little girl who is getting some of her Pediasure milk through the gtube!

Day 3. Her arm is freeeeee!!! IV gone but that doesn't mean we are going anywhere anytime soon. But praying we are still on track to going home today. They want to do 2 more pumped feeds to make sure she is tolerating gtube feeds then give her a bolus feed which they will show us how to do so she can get feeds that way at home when needed.gg
I love that she smiles with her eyes too!!!! Happy little girl! Still waiting for the drs to make their rounds to us! Ugh! They always tell us they make their morning rounds between 8-10 but they never seem to get to us til 11. Although its 11 now and they still haven't gotten to us.
More Rea pics!!! Getting some fresh air! 2pm bolus feed via gtube and if all goes well after her first bolus feed we go home shortly after. Pray it does otherwise they'll want to do another one before they send us home!
And we're finally headed home!!! Thank you family and friends for your prayers and support!!!!
