where we took the fam and headed down to san diego for the day...but before doing so we stopped in san clemente at the famous rainbow outlet to get taylor her very 1st pair of rainbows...brown ones just like mama and papa of course!
haha...only 1 shoe on...
by now it was lunch time so we headed to another famous place el indio to grab some super yummy mexican food. this restaurant was even featured on the show diners, drive-ins and dives. i had the carne asada burrito, papa had their fish tacos and taylor had some rice and beans! this place was delicious! the line was out the door!
poor peyton's mouth kept watering but she's too little to eat this food
and tay enjoyed her beans and rice and cheese
we thought about going to the zoo but opted not to since we thought it might be too crowded being a holiday weekend. so instead we headed to downtown to walk around and do some shopping and eat some ben & jerry's and on the way back stopped at the outlets!

happy 4th!
we decided last minute to have a bbq. so we called the fam over. lola, lolo, uncle jojo, auntie katie, uncle tony, cousin lukey bear and grandma all came over as we feasted on burgers, chicken, watermelon, chips, cookies and all kinds of snacks.
i made them matching skirts with red tank tops! haha!

taylor looks soo different with a headband on...and here she is showing her bbq chicken and her brown rice in the shape of a bear's face and a star.
and here's the cute bear!
then after everyone left papa, mama, taylor and peyton went up to the diamond bar center to watch the fireworks! we've never gone there to watch the fireworks. last year we watched them at the claremont colleges and it was too loud for taylor. so this year we got the idea to watch them way up on the hill at the db center. apparently we weren't the only ones with that idea. we got there early enough to get a good spot and back the car in.

this is how we watched the fireworks...in the trunk of our car like everyone else...but some people were actually out on the bluffs watching it
and it was sooo cold up on the hill
and one with papa
so pretty
and poor peyton was asleep in her car seat inside the car the whole time cause it was waaaaay past her 8pm bedtime!
