today was a great super bowl day at the luna's!
the SAINTS won!!! whoo-hoo!!!
so i thought this year for super bowl i'd bake up some goodness...
i've been inspired a lot lately by the lovely treats from bakerella!
i made some red velvet sandwich cookies along with some cream cheese frosting from scratch
prepare cake box as directed by bakerella and bake cookies:
make cream cheese frosting:
take 2 cookies and put filling inbetween
like this:
and now they are ready to go!
and oreo cookie truffles shaped into footballs of course!
mash up oreos and cream cheese and shape into footballs
then dip into chocolate
and create football design and voila!
hehe...mine look like bakerella's footblobs and not footballs-but who cares...at least i tried...and it didn't matter what they looked like cause they tasted sooooo yummy!!!

Thanks for the comment over on my blog. I'm getting ready to do some serious sewing from my stash. Washing fabric as I type. LOL Make sure you've signed up over at Melissa's blog too http://wondermommy.wordpress.com/2010/01/12/stash-busters/
Can't wait to see all the pretties you make for your little ones. And what I wouldn't give to live near a beach right now as we just had another snowstorm here in MN.
