*lastnight taylor woke up in the middle of the night and said "guys wake-up, wake-up guys!" jino and i clearly heard it cause she practically yelled it but we pretended to be asleep still. i think she was dreaming.
*if she sees that me or papa are going running...she says "i need my running shoes." then she goes to her room and brings out a a pair of nikes (thanks tiff and albert) and says, "I need to put my running shoes on!" and she attempts to put them on herself (they are velcro)-sometimes she is successful.
*or if she sees one of us put on clothes that look like running clothes to her she says, "you go running?"
*tues-new year's day we planned to go to the beach to walk around and have lunch...so we kept telling taylor that morning that we were going to the beach...cause she loves the beach. so we get in the car and are ready to back out of the garage and taylor says, "you don't have surfboard papa." and papa tell her it's too cold and he's not surfing. so taylor goes, "i don't have sand toys!" and i tell her she doesn't need sand toys cause we aren't really going to play on the sand. she was holding her super sleuth tigger doll and i told her she could play with tigger on the sand. and she was like, "no, tigger's gonna get dirty."
*i noticed when we would park our car in the garage and come out, we pass by a tree on our way to the house and taylor would keep saying "alligator." and i would just play along with it. and this week when she said it i was like "where is the alligator?" and i had her lead me to it...she led me to the tree we pass by and i look down...this is a huge tree with it's roots all up and out of the ground and this particular part of the tree looked like an alligator's mouth. haha. so funny! here's the pic...
* at some point, everyday taylor says, "i want to go to lola's house now!" i ask her why and she says, " i want to play with my dollhouse!"
*we got taylor into the habit of praying before she goes to bed. usually one of us would pray and it would be something quick and easy. we did that also to keep it simple so she could repeat it....we used to ask her who she wanted to pray for and she would say a name and we would pray for that person, but now....one of the things i absolutely love that taylor does...now she is the one that prays. when we hop into bed, we don't have to ask her to pray. she'll tell us she wants to pray. so we'll ask her who she wants to pray for. here's what she says for example:
us: "taylor who do you want to pray for?"
taylor: "uncle josel"
us: "go ahead and pray"
taylor: "Lord bless uncle josel, in Jesus name, AMEN!"
then we'll ask her who else she wants to pray for and she prays for them. each person, one by one, the same exact thing. i love it!!! it warms our hearts everytime. her prayers are so precious. and when she prays its dark in the room and she folds her hands and pretends to close her eyes too when she prays. ah, i love it!
